Trees

The trees at Danchris Nursery are
taken special care of in locally
grown fields. We grow and maintain
the majority of our shade trees. The
other trees we carry come from
certified, quality growers from all
over the United States. We strive to
carry hardy, strong trees that are
sure to please any person looking to
purchase a tree.

If you are looking for a particular
variety of tree ask one of our sales
representatives. We will look into
finding the unique tree that would
be perfect for your landscape.

Balled and Burlaped (B&B) Trees and Shrubs

Tips to planting a B&B Tree

When you get home measure the depth of the ball on your tree. (Example 24
inches)

Dig a hole slightly smaller in depth and much wider in width
(Example Ball=24in then depth=22 in and width= 36in to 40in)

DO NOT CUT Burlap off tree!!!!

Fill in with the natural soil around the tree. Make it firm enough that it won't
move, but not so compact that the soil has no air space.
Once planted, if there is twine around tree base, cut it away. LEAVE BURLAP
ON TREE

Finally make sure to water it. Lay a hose down depending on tree.

Fertilize using only a root stimulator for the first year. This will encourage root
growth which is essential for tree establishment and a long future.
